FunkyTown Food Project’s youth leadership development program integrates agriculture, enterprise, and service to offer a rigorous, practical experience for paid high school interns. We unite a diverse group of young people across racial, socio-economic, gender, and geographic lines to grow and distribute produce while developing leadership skills that will serve them well beyond the farm.
As students happily return year after year, they further their knowledge of food systems and sustainable agriculture while advancing their leadership skills with expanded roles on the farm, in our markets, and with community volunteers.
