community

At FunkyTown Food Project, we believe powerful change is rooted in community. We build partnerships with community members and organizations to make fresh, local, affordable food available to support the health and well-being of all.

FunkyTown Food Project engages across difference to build a stronger food system. We work with community residents and stakeholders to achieve more than improved food access. By combining sustainable agriculture, youth leadership development, and educational opportunities, we help to remove obstacles for communities to thrive.

Improved Access
to Food

Youth, staff, and volunteers from FunkyTown Food Project grow fresh, organic food and work with community partners to support a wide range of food access initiatives across Fort Worth. Our home farm, Conundrum Farms, hosts its own weekly farmers market on Sundays from March through December. You can also find us at Clearfork Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, and monthly at the Saginaw Farmers Market.

FunkyTown Food Project also partners with Texas Health Resources to help stock community pantries in schools and agencies across the city. to help make local produce more accessible.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

To help make local produce more accessible, we are proud to be a SNAP/Lonestar-accessible grower. That means that whether you’re shopping at our farm or
any of the markets you attend, your SNAP dollars go further with

and learn

FunkyTown Food Project strives to increase community food production and education. Our Seed Crew spends most afternoons in workshops learning about sustainable agriculture, food access, social justice, and more. Workshops open to the rest of our community are coming soon!
